Career Showcase, our hallmark career fair, is designed to help you find talented students and alumni for your organization. The largest career fair in the southeast, Showcase is a two-day event that highlights students in a wide variety of majors in one location. In fall 2018, over 7,000 students from non-technical and technical fields attended Career Showcase to network with over 350 employers. Diversity Meet Up: Pre Showcase Connections

Join us for an event tailored for recruiters with diversity hiring initiatives. This is a networking event with a fluid atmosphere, without the boundaries of the career fair, for students and employers to connect in a relaxed environment. This is a premier opportunity to maximize the amount of students you see in a quick, casual manner.

Registration is $175 for Showcase registrants and will increase to $200 after August 23rd. Non-Showcase attendees registration is $200. You can register for the event up to the day of the event through Gator CareerLink.

Career Showcase

Day 1 – Non-Technical

Features career paths for students focused on management, sales, government, hospitality, finance, accounting, healthcare, communications, marketing, social services and other non-technical professions.

Features career paths for students focused on engineering, information technology, research & development, architecture, programming, construction, biomedical, manufacturing and other technical professions.

Find out everything you need to know about participating in Career Showcase through the information below. From policies to parking, we’ve provided comprehensive information about our event in the following details.

Registration and Payment

You may register up until the day of the event. The cancellation deadline is August 23 and will guarantee inclusion in the event-day publications. Registrations received after August 23, 2019 will increase to $850. August 23 is also the last day to cancel and receive a refund. The tiered pricing cost to attend Showcase is below:

  • Corporate
    • $825 table/day (until August 23)
    • $850 table/day (from August 23 until the day of Career Showcase)
  • Non-profit
    • $625 (until August 23)
    • $650 (from August 23 until the day of Career Showcase)

Register for Showcase through Gator CareerLink. We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or checks. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.

Credit cards are not processed immediately; you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment once our staff processes your credit card.

Make checks payable to “Univ. of Florida Career Connections Center” (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Include a printed copy of your invoice and send check payment to:

When you register as a nonprofit organization a member of our team will reach out to you to obtain a copy of your Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption from the IRS or any official government documentation stating that you are a verified tax-exempt entity, such as a government agency or a 501(c)(3) organization.  If we do not receive the documentation within 2 weeks of our initial correspondence we will not be able to approve your registration as a nonprofit and will add 6.7% tax to the total registration cost.
August 23, 2019 is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Connections Center. Please contact the Career Events staff at

CCCCareerFairs@ufsa.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.

No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers from use of other Career Connections Center services in the future.

The Day Of

Check-in for both days begins at 7:30 a.m. We recommend that you check-in early as parking is extremely limited after 8 a.m. Our doors open promptly at 9 a.m. and students will be ready to meet and network with you at that time.
Breakfast is served until 9 a.m. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Complimentary refreshments (water, coffee and soda) are made available throughout the day.
The Stephen C. O’Connell Center Parking Garage is available to recruiters for parking on both days of Career Showcase. You will receive a parking pass via email in the days prior to the event to display in your vehicle’s dashboard. You will be required and expected to park in the areas designated by the facility staff. If you did not receive a parking pass, simply have a business card available and tell parking staff you are attending Career Showcase.

Parking on campus can be challenging. We recommend you arrive at the facility before 8 a.m. to avoid campus traffic and to confirm an appropriate space.

The Career Connections Center is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Policies

Organizations that do not check in by 11 a.m. on the day of the event will be considered a “no show.” Registered organizations that fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the Career Connections Center.

Display space at Career Showcase is limited. Total floor space available per table is 9-10 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.

Additionally, each organization is permitted four (4) representatives per 1 booth registration. Organizations may purchase up to two (2) additional representatives for each booth registration purchased. For 1 booth space, an organization can not excess a total of six (6) representatives. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional booth, regardless of whether you actually use the additional booth during the event.

Shipping

Rather than carry your materials, ship them to us. You can ship materials starting two weeks prior to the fall semester’s event and one week prior to spring’s event. Materials received on the day(s) of the event will not be immediately available.

Bring your tracking number(s)! In the event your packages are not at your booth, we will need your number to locate your items.

The Career Connections Center provides limited resources to ship your items back to your office. Be sure to label your items correctly and bring the necessary account numbers. There will be pickup locations at the career fair for all the major package carriers, including FedEx, and UPS. Shipping forms and packing supplies are very limited.

Post Showcase Events

Career Showcase is a great way to make that first connection with UF students, but it doesn’t have to end there.

In the days after Career Showcase, over 2,000 students interview campus and virtually with hundreds of organizations such as yours. Take advantage of the opportunity to conveniently hold interviews campus and virtual immediately after Career Showcase and throughout the remainder of the semester.

If you are interested in hosting post-Showcase interviews, you will have the option to reserve campus interviews space for the days following Career Showcase.
