The Career Connections Center partners with the University of Florida’s College of Education to host a fair specifically for the university’s education majors and students who are interested in the field. This boutique fair puts you directly in touch with students who are looking for employers in the education industry.

Registration and Payment

You may register up until the day of the event. The cancellation deadline is March 10, 2020 and will guarantee inclusion in the event-day publications. Registrations received after March 10, 2020 increase to $150. March 13, 2019 is also the last day to cancel and receive a refund. The cost to attend Careers in Education Fair is $125.00 per table.

Register for the Careers in Education Fair through Gator CareerLink. We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or checks. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.

Credit cards are not processed immediately; you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment once our staff processes your credit card.

Make checks payable to “Univ. of Florida Career Connections Center” (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Include a printed copy of your invoice and send check payment to:

When you register as a nonprofit organization a member of our team will reach out to you to obtain a copy of your Consumer’s Certificate of Exemption from the IRS or any official government documentation stating that you are a verified tax-exempt entity, such as a government agency or a 501(c)(3) organization.  If we do not receive the documentation within 2 weeks of our initial correspondence we will not be able to approve your registration as a nonprofit and will add 6.7% tax to the total registration cost.
March 10, 2020 is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Connections Center. Please contact the Career Events staff at CCCCareerFairs@ufsa.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.

No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers the use of other services in the future.

The Day Of

4:00 p.m. – Check in and table set up | Grand Ballroom (students begin arriving at 5 p.m.)
We do not provide lunch, but refreshments are provided throughout the event. Additionally, there are several dining options on campus to accommodate you for meal arrangements.
You will receive one parking pass via email in the days prior to the event to display in your vehicle’s dashboard. The parking pass is valid for the UF Welcome Center’s parking garage. You will be required and expected to park in the areas designated by the facility staff.

Parking on campus can be challenging. We recommend you arrive at the facility before 8 a.m. to avoid campus traffic and to confirm an appropriate space.

The Career Connections Center is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Policies

Organizations that do not check in by 6 p.m. on the day of the event will be considered a “no show.” Registered organizations that fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the Career Connections Center.

Display space at the Careers in Education Fair is limited. Total floor space available per table is 7-9 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.

Additionally, each organization is permitted three (3) representatives per table with up to one additional representative in excess of the per table total of four (4), for an additional charge. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional table, regardless of whether you actually use the additional table during the event.

Shipping

Rather than carry your materials with you, ship them to us. You can ship materials starting one week prior to the event. Materials received on the day(s) of the event will not be immediately available.
