Reserving space on campus can be a challenge at the University of Florida. If you are interested in hosting an information session or another company event, we recommend you make your request early and include alternative dates.

- Click on ‘Events’ and select the ‘Information Sessions’ tab
- Click on ‘Add New’ to fill out the request
You will be contacted when your request has been approved. Please wait to book your flights or hotel accommodations until you have received the final confirmation from our office.
No matter the size of the event, we have space to accommodate most types of company events. However, space can be difficult to secure, especially during peak recruiting times around our major career fairs, we recommend you submit your request the term prior to your desired campus visit.
Space reservation charges vary depending on the location.
The Career Resource Center (CRC)
Our facility has three available spaces:
- Library: $150 (capacity 120)
- Classroom: $100 (capacity 45)
- Conference Room: $50 (capacity 25)
Space reservations in the CRC come set up with a projector, screen, computer, DVD Player and amplified computer sound. We will also have staff present to assist with your event.
The Reitz Union
The cost of a space reservation in the Reitz Union will vary depending on the size and technology needed in the space. There are a wide range of meeting room sizes along with ballrooms and theatres. Prices start at $50 for a space and increase based on the equipment and size of the space. Please note, CRC staff members are not able to assist with the staffing of information session held outside of the career center. Space reservations in the Reitz Union are made through Gator CareerLink. The Reitz Union will contact you for space confirmations and billing information.
Academic Classrooms are another location available for employers to connect with students for their company events. Although academic classrooms do not incur a reservation charge, there are many limitations with using academic space on campus at the University of Florida.
Requests for space in academic classrooms and specialty areas can incur a wait time of 7-14 days after drop/add is complete with registration and records. This could be up to 3 weeks into the semester. These areas are first reserved for classes, student organizations, and then other academic uses. Space reservations in the Reitz Union and space reservations in the CRC are not subject to this delay but are secured based on space availability. Typically, academic classrooms are unavailable for advanced booking and during key recruiting periods. Technical equipment is not guaranteed or provided for academic classrooms. Furthermore, CRC staff are not able to assist with staffing information sessions hosted in academic spaces and food may not be allowed. Room reservations for academic space are made through Gator CareerLink. The CRC will then contact you concerning room confirmations in academic locations.
Catered refreshments are a great component to support networking with candidates during your event. The University of Florida has a host of approved caterers able to meet your formal or informal dining needs. If you are hosting your information session within the Reitz Union or the Career Resource Center you are required to use Classic Fare Catering.
