Come join us for the Fall 2019 HHP Internship and Job Fair! The College of Health and Human Performance empowers our students with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to utilize their skills to advance how communities live, work, and play. These students are actively seeking opportunities to gain experience in their field of study. Whether you are recruiting for internships, part-time or full-time jobs, or even volunteer opportunities, this fair is a great chance to interact with hundreds of our students. HHP areas of study include: Applied Physiology & Kinesiology (specializations in Exercise Physiology OR Fitness/Wellness), Athletic Training, Health Education & Behavior (specializations in Community Health Promotion OR Health Studies), Sport Management, and Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Management.

Registration and Payment

You may register up until the day of the event. The cancellation deadline is August 20, 2019 and will guarantee inclusion in the event-day publications. Registrations received after August 20, 2019 increase to $75.00. August 20, 2019 is also the last day to cancel and receive a refund. The cost to attend HHP Internship and Job Fair is $60.00 per table.

Register for the HHP Internship and Job Fair through Gator CareerLink. We accept credit cards (VISA, MasterCard or American Express) or checks. In the registration form, be sure to select your payment type as credit card or check.

Credit cards are not processed immediately; you will receive a paid invoice via email to confirm processing of your payment once our staff processes your credit card.

Make checks payable to “Univ. of Florida Career Connections Center” (TAX ID# 59-6002052). Include a printed copy of your invoice and send check payment to:

To qualify for sales tax exemption, follow these steps:

  1. Register online as outlined above; the invoice you view online after registering will include sales tax.
  2. After registering, fax a copy of your FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate to the Career Connections Center at 352-392-5268. Include a copy of your invoice. If the name on the certificate differs from name on the registration, please note this on BOTH forms.
  3. Once the FLORIDA Tax Exemption Certificate has been received, your invoice will be updated to reflect your tax-exempt status.
  4. The C3 will notify you when the update to your invoice has been made.
  5.  Pay the amount on the updated invoice.

No registration can be processed as tax-exempt without a copy of the tax-exemption certificate from the STATE OF FLORIDA. Unfortunately, we cannot accept tax exemption certificates from other states. Any tax-exempt organization in a state other than Florida must apply with the State of Florida. This application can be found here. A copy of this application can be submitted in place of the tax exemption certificate until one is obtained.

August 20, 2019 is the cancellation deadline for this event. Cancellations received by this date will receive a full refund and will not be charged for cancelling their event registration.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing to the Career Connections Center. Please contact the Career Events staff at CCCFairs@ufsa.ufl.edu to cancel your registration.

No cancellations will be accepted after the deadline. Registered organizations who fail to show up at the event will still be charged for the event. Outstanding bills from previous events will prevent employers the use of other services in the future.

The Day Of

9 a.m. – Check in and table set up | Florida Gym Basketball Court (students begin arriving at 10 a.m.)
A boxed lunch will be provided for up to 2 representatives as part of the registration cost. There is an additional $10 charge per extra rep and arrangements for additional meals must be made at least 3 business days prior to the event.
You will receive one parking pass via email in the days prior to the event to display in your vehicle’s dashboard. The parking pass is valid for the North Lawn parking area. You will be required and expected to park in the areas designated by the facility staff.

The Career Connections Center is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while attending the event; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Policies

Organizations that do not check in by 11 a.m. on the day of the event will be considered a “no show.” Registered organizations that fail to show up at the event will result in a charge for the event regardless if payment has been received by the Career Connections Center.

Display space at the HHP Internship and Job Fair is limited. Total floor space available per table is 7-9 feet wide and 6 feet deep. Please do not plan to bring furniture, large equipment or excessive amounts of give-away items. If you bring items that require more space than you reserved, you will be charged for additional tables.

Additionally, each organization is permitted four (4) representatives per table with up to one additional representative in excess of the per table total of five (5), for an additional charge. If your organization has more than this limit, you will be charged for an additional table, regardless of whether you actually use the additional table during the event.

Shipping

Rather than carry your materials with you, you have the option to ship them to us. You can ship materials starting one week prior to the event. Materials received on the day(s) of the event will not be immediately available.
