In this talk, students will learn about the field of fundraising and how they might work towards entering the field. Students will be able to learn about what fundraising is, how it works, the types of skills needed to succeed, and hear some tips and tricks on navigating the workplace in development.
Alumni Presenter: Harrison Porter | Class of 2015
Harrison is a proud Gator Grad! Over the past 6 years he has worked in the field of fundraising in the healthcare setting. Harrison has a Masters in Public Administration, is a CFRE (certified fundraising executive) and holds the CAP designation (Chartered Advisor of Philanthropy) which has equipped him to grow in his career to better serve the patients of the hospital he works to support. Harrison loves working in the non-profit environment and through his education, board membership, and experience has developed a love of fundraising.
