Meet the Directors

JA'NET GLOVERSenior Director for Career Services

I oversee 33 full-time professionals and provide oversight for a centralized center serving more than 52,000 students. Currently, I’m leading the department through a $9.6 million expansion of the center, focusing on expanding and implementing an embedded career-liaison model in each of UF’s schools, and strategically working to enhance student engagement within career services.

I’m proud to be a two-time Gator alumnus with a B.S. in Recreation, Parks and Tourism and a M.S in Management. In my down time I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and volunteering in the community with the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

ANGEL IVERSONDirector for Integrated Partnerships

I lead our team of staff embedded in the colleges that work to provide customized career development and industry engagement opportunities and resources for each of their academic career communities. In addition, our team is also responsible for directing the HireUFGators and employer development initiatives for the center. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling the country, fishing, and attending concerts.

NADENE REYNOLDSDirector for Career Foundations

I have the privilege of helping students find satisfying jobs and career paths. I coordinate the efforts of a team of superstars who help students identify their passions and teach skills they need to be competitive candidates. Together, we connect students to professional mentors, alumni, teach them how to get into different industries, and find internships or other experiences they could have to prepare them for success after graduation.

When I’m not at work, turn up the music and laugh with me as I enjoy my beautiful family, amazing friends and worship the Lord.

Business Administrative Services

As Office Manager for the Career Connections Center, I oversee all aspects of Human Resources and Accounting functions for full-time staff and graduate and student assistants employed at the Center.

KRISTIN KNOPFAdministrative Assistant

I support the Career Connections Center full-time and student staff through HR and administrative functions. I also assist with special departmental events and meeting coordination for our staff and visitors. When not at work, you can find me outside enjoying paddle boarding, biking around Gainesville, watching my children play baseball and softball, or cheering on the Gators.

CHARITY REYNOLDSSenior Assistant Director for Administrative Services

I assist the center with business and administrative operations that will focus on supporting our fiscal management and budgets. In addition, I will oversee special initiatives that will impact the center’s operations and work closely with the team to oversee the center’s various budgets, approve travel and expense reports and ensure we are staying up to date with best practices associated with fiscal management. In my free time you can find me shopping, being a foodie, spending time with friends and family, or looking for a new adventure.

Operations and Engagement

DANA MCPHERSONAssistant Director for Marketing and Strategic Communications

I am responsible for managing the brand standards and communications projects for the center. This includes overseeing the efforts in the digital space, social and website, and marketing initiatives for center projects. When I’m not in the office, you can find me at a high school track, watching my daughter compete; on a plane, jet setting off to somewhere new; or on the corner of my sofa, curled up reading a good book!

In my role, I have been charged with making the lives of the entire team easier! Specifically by creating, launching and maintaining the first ever Knowledge Community, an internal online resource library for staff. In addition, I have updated all office manuals and provide back up for the Operations and Administrative services. I am proud Gator MFOS alumna. When I am not at work you can catch me enjoying life. Specifically laughing with family and friends, burning things in the kitchen, and singing horribly at the top of my lungs.

As an Embedded Liaison, I provide career development opportunities and industry connections to support the professional growth of students enrolled at the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. In so doing, I build and maintain relationships with employers and collaborate with faculty and staff to customize Career Connections Center services specifically for the Gator Engineer. Outside of the center, you can almost always find me hanging out with the fam eating good food, worshipping, and relaxing at the house.

I support our team of 15 Career Ambassadors, manage campus-wide outreach efforts, and work with students to identify their career and professional development goals and help them achieve those goals. When I’m not at work, you can find me traveling and exploring the sunshine state, watching Netflix, and trying new recipes/restaurants.

I am the Assistant Director for Career Engagement and Experiential Education. I collaborate with the campus community to support holistic career readiness through programming that facilitates identifying, engaging and reflecting on experiential learning opportunities, individual and group career planning, and outreach.
Outside of work, I am a: dog mom, PhD student, powerlifter, adventure-seeker, and foodie.

ALISON NOONANAssistant Director for Career Engagement

I am the Assistant Director for Career Engagement and Experiential Education. I work in partnership with campus stakeholders to develop experiential learning programs and opportunities that engage students in real-world learning experiences. Through reflective practice, I help students think holistically about the impact of their experiences on their life and career trajectory. Outside of work I am a mom of 2 amazing teenage boys, sports mom, director for a youth tackle football program, exercise enthusiast, nature lover, and outdoors adventure seeker.

My aim is to engage students to reflect on their values, motivations, and strengths and connect the dots between who they are and what they want to do. I provide vision and support for the Career and Professional Development team, including coordinating our Career Planning and career coaching services. Our team’s goal is to empower students to see their potential in all stages of planning for their careers. I work to provide structure and best practices to help students learn more about what makes them unique- including understanding strengths, skills, and interests. When I am not at work, you can find me playing outside with my dog, checking out new local restaurants, doing yoga, or spending time with my family and friends.

I support students living in residence halls as the embedded liaison for Housing & Residence Education – West Campus. I engage them through workshops, career planning sessions, and connect them to the resources they need to be successful in life after the Swamp. I work with employers to stay up to date on industry trends, help them develop engagement opportunities on campus, and encourage them to Hire UF Gators. In my free time, I enjoy reading, traveling, being creative, and spending time with my friends and family.

As a member of the Career Connections Center team, I have the opportunity to serve as the embedded liaison to the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. I work closely with CALS students providing tailored career development to help students prepare for life after the Swamp. My mission is to connect the dots between employers, the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, and the Career Connections Center. In my free time, I like to lace up for some recreational sports, explore new restaurants around town, and test out the free samples at Trader Joe’s.

As the embedded liaison for the College of Health and Human Performance, I collaborate with staff, faculty, and industry associates to create specialized professional development opportunities for students. I also cultivate partnerships with employers to connect them to the college as a way to increase and diversify internship and employment opportunities for students. When I’m not working, you can find me baking, reading, binge watching something on Netflix, hanging out at Disney, or bringing history to life at a reenactment.

As the embedded liaison for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, I work to create customized services to meet students’ specific needs. I provide innovative and engaging ways for CLAS students to consider pursuing career development the moment they step onto campus. Through this role at the Career Connections Center, I also work with staff, faculty, and employers to develop partnerships that ultimately benefit the students. I love to read and write during my free time! I also enjoy traveling and going to concerts.

As a member of the Career Connections Center, I serve as the embedded liaison to the College of Journalism and Communications. I work with the faculty and staff of the College to assist students in reaching their career goals. Through workshops and personal meetings, I seek to ensure that students are empowered with the necessary tools to be effective in their future career. I also work to build relationships with employers in the field of communications in order to stay abreast to trends in the industry as well as to pursue employment opportunities on behalf of the students in the College. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music.

In this role, I support the Recruitment Services team, responsible for hosting Career Events, and on-campus recruiting activities (On-Campus Interviews, Information Sessions, Job Postings, etc.) by providing a strategic vision and guidance in evolving our service offerings. Our team is responsible for creating a quality and comprehensive recruiting experience for employers both on- and off-campus. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, visiting Disney, and indulging my sweet tooth!

EIRINI CHADDONAssistant Director for Employer Development

I work with the Recruitment Services team to maintain relationships with existing companies by providing them with customized recruitment tools and on-going education to identify potential UF students and alumni. I also directly manage the the center’s Gator CareerLink (GCL) database and research new trends on how employers can establish their brand on-campus. Things I love include church, family, my culture, traveling, baking, crafts and spending time with friends!

In my role on the Recruitment Services team, I facilitate connections by developing and increasing employer engagement with our services, spaces, and students. I help to ensure that employers have a personalized experience as they connect with and recruit our talented students. I am a Gator Alum and a proud ACR (if you know, you know!)! As an introverted extrovert, I like to spend my free time making plans and then canceling them. I love good music, good food, and good people!

PHYLLIS PENARecruitment Services Coordinator

I act as a gatekeeper between University of Florida students and alumni and career opportunities. I work with hundreds of companies to oversee campus interviews in the career center. Together we schedule information sessions and provide Gators access to thousands of company job post on Gator CareerLink. I am passionate about football.

I manage all of the annual on-campus recruiting fairs including but not limited to Career Showcase, Beyond the Swamp Fair, and the Summer Job and Internship Fair. I also work with the Industry Relations team to develop and maintain relationships with current employers who recruit UF students and alumni to their organizations. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, painting, practicing calligraphy, and watching Netflix.
