“Not all of us are born with one main interest and that should be seen as a strength and not a weakness.” So then how do you choose a major when you seem to like everything?

In this conversation let’s talk about how to find a major you enjoy without feeling confined to one career path. Together we will watch and discuss Emilie Wapnick’s Ted talk, “Why some of us don’t have one true calling,” where she discusses the reality for many who are not sure what they want to do for the rest of their lives. In her talk, Emilie calls these individuals “multipotentialites” – people who have a range of interests and jobs over a lifetime. We will explore ways to connect our interests with multiple pathways moving forward in academics and career.

This session will be held in a hybrid format with both in-person and virtual attendance options.
