Facility Policies
The C3 facility is split between two levels and spans 28,940 gross square feet. The facility underwent a transformative renovation in 2018 and now features seven multi-purpose spaces, 21 interview modules, 41 staff offices, the Gator Career Closet, and a variety of nooks and spaces designed for career education and student/employer interaction.
Each multipurpose space is capable of live streaming and recording all programming, making the C3 even more accessible for all 56,000+ UF students. Spaces can also be arranged in many customizable ways to accommodate a variety of events.

The Career Center reserves the right to assign or reassign specific event locations, as needed, based on the most efficient use of space for maximum benefit to the University community. If a reservation is reassigned to another location, an attempt will be made to reach the contact person listed on the reservation via email or phone in advance.
Reservations & Guidelines
The UF Career Connections Center is available for rent to University of Florida departments and organizations and approved non-university groups. Reservations are not guaranteed until there is written confirmation from the UF Career Connections Center.
The Career Connections Center hours are Monday–Friday from 8:00am–5:00pm, except for UF Holidays. Programming spaces in the Career Center are available for use Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekend options are available upon request and availability. UF Departments, Groups, and Student Organizations are required to have UF Faculty or Staff on site while using Career Connections Center Meeting Space. If the onsite contact will be different than the on site contact during the meeting, the Career Connections Center must be provided the name and contact information of the onsite contact prior to the event start time.
Please submit a reservation request form no later than 1 week (excluding holidays) before the event. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served process and are not guaranteed. Approval is contingent upon availability and the appropriateness of the proposed event for the space at the center.
All groups will be responsible for direct charges that pertain to their event.
Fee Structure
Each room rate is determined based on the size of the space. The Tier Structure is as follows:
UF Tier 1: A university department using the space for a program that is NOT charging fees to attendees.
UF Tier 2: A university department using the space for a program that is charging fees. Non UF Nonprofits and Government Organizations are also Tier 2.
Non-UF Group: Any non-UF department or group that is not a non-profit or government organization.

Additional Fees
Organizations may incur additional fees if repair, replacement or cleaning of the facility and equipment is needed following an event, and/or if use of the facility extends beyond reserved time. Organizations will also incur additional fees if rooms not previously reserved are used during the event.
- Late Cancellation Fee (less than 48hrs): Full room rental rate
- Late Exit, Additional Time in Room: $20 per 30min.
- After Hours Access: $25 Fee/day
- Cleaning, Repair, Replacement fees will be based on Career Connections Center incurred fees and will vary depending on damage.
Division of Student Life
For the Division of Student Life departments, there is no fee for a staff event, retreat, or other internally hosted meeting using only one room. Use of multiple breakout rooms and/or, charging fees to attend will be subject to rental fees.
Conference rooms and interview modules are available at no charge if it does not interfere with recruitment season and others paying for the space, such as employers.
Payments & Charges
All fees must be paid within 30 days of the invoice date. UF groups will be required to pay by E2R by making a chart field available. Non-UF groups can pay by credit card or check. An invoice will be sent to the email provided on the reservation request. This invoice will contain a link for a credit card payment to be submitted. If a check payment is to be made, all checks should be made payable to the UF Career Connections Center.
Organizations may incur additional costs if supplementary repair, replacement or cleaning of the facility and equipment is needed following an event, and/or if use of the facility extends beyond reserved time. Organizations may also incur additional cost if additional rooms not previously reserved are used during the event.
UF Departments – Journal Entries/E2R
We are happy to create a journal entry for the UF Department. Upon receipt of your invoice, please let our fiscal team know you would like to pay via Journal Entry and provide your preferred chart field information.

Sales Tax
All organizations wishing to claim a tax exemption must provide appropriate verification.
Food & Beverage
All Food Vendors and Catering, including pizza delivery, must be a UF Approved Caterer. Event organizers may arrange for delivery to Reitz Union Circle Drive (655 Reitz Union Drive). Event organizers are responsible for receiving the order and transporting it to the reserved location, as delivery drivers are not permitted to deliver food directly to event spaces.
As of 1/4/2024, event organizers using the Career Connections Center space may provide store-bought, pre-packaged, non-perishable food and beverages. All beverages must comply with the Exclusive Beverage Pouring and Representation Rights Agreement detailed in the Food and Beverage Policy. Event coordinators are responsible for the setup and cleanup of food and beverage items and must reserve appropriate numbers of tables to support those items.
Event organizers are responsible for disposing of all food trash in the appropriate trashcans/recycle bins located in the Career Connections Center.
Sale and/or Service of Alcohol: The sale or service of alcohol on UF property is subject to the approval of the Office of the Vice President for Business Affairs. To receive permission, complete the Alcohol Approval Form. It is the responsibility of the event organizers to request permission.
Hours and Access Hours
- Groups are scheduled for set up and clean up time (60 minutes for set-up & 60minutes for clean-up) for their reservation. Additional fees will apply if these times are exceeded.
- If additional time is required, event contact must make the request the Career Connections Center 48 hours in advance.
- The Career Connections Center hours are Monday–Friday from 8:00am–5:00pm, except for UF Holidays. Programming spaces in the Career Center are available for use Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekend options are available upon request and availability. A $25.00 per day fee will be added to the rental for weekend/holiday access.
- Clean-Up and Damages
- Event Contacts are responsible for placing all trash and recyclables in appropriate receptacles located in the center. Nothing should be left in the meeting or Interview space after the event.
- The user is responsible for the cost of cleaning and/or repairs to the facility and repair or replacement of equipment in the event of any damage caused during the event.
Room Configurations
Facility Rental Fees include the cost of one set-up. Groups are welcome to arrange the room and furniture in a layout that best suits your needs. The Career Connections Center is not able to guarantee staff will be available to accommodate last-minute changes. Requests for such changes will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Organizations shall not rearrange moveable walls or audio-visual equipment in any of the facility rooms without permission. Any damages that result from groups attempting to move these items on their own will be the responsibility of the organization hosting the event.
Additional Equipment and Decorations
Prohibited Items: Glitter, confetti, fog, mist or bubble machines.
Restricted Items: Banners, newsprint/easel paper, posters or anything you want to hang from or affix to the wall. Taping, stapling, gluing or otherwise attaching items to any walls, doors, windows, posts, columns, floors or ceilings is prohibited without advanced permission. Candles and open flame devices are not permitted in areas of assembly.
Strobe lights may be used if participants are notified before entering.
Parking
The UF Bookstore and Visitor Welcome Center parking garage is adjacent to the Reitz Union. Parking fees apply Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Reserved parking can be arranged for special events by contacting the Transportation and Parking Services administrative office at 352-392-8048 or submitting an event reservation request.
The Career Connections Center does not have the authority to waive parking fees or fines assessed by UF.
Audio/Visual Services
A/V equipment available for use in each room includes: Projector and drop-down screen, podium with a desktop computer with HDMI laptop hookups, confidence monitors, speakers, video camera recording and live streaming capabilities, touch screen system to manage A/V equipment, one lectern and one lapel microphone. If other technological accommodations are needed, please let the Career Center staff know at least 1 week in advance of event.
Wireless internet is available throughout the Center. UF faculty, staff and students will need their Gatorlink username and password to access the internet. Non-university persons can obtain a guest username and password by accessing the UF Visitor wireless network upon arrival and providing the requested information.
General Use Policies
Regulations/Policies
All users must agree to comply with University of Florida (UF) rules, regulations and policies. Users must also comply with appropriate state and federal laws, and fire and police department rules and regulations.
Smoking Policy
University of Florida policy prohibits the use of all tobacco products on the entire University of Florida campus. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars and smokeless tobacco (chew or dip). Our campuses include our buildings, parking lots, garages and roadways. Learn more here.
Lost/Stolen/Damaged Property
The University of Florida is not responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged property belonging to users of the facility. All items found will be kept by the Career Center’s staff for a reasonable period and then forwarded to the University Police Department.
Security
If event security is required at the facility, this service will be provided by the University Police Department. All personnel costs will be the responsibility of the group hosting the event.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing (or via e-mail) to the ccccareerfairs@ufsa.ufl.edu No later than 48 hours prior to the event start. Organizations will be charged the full reservation rental rate for all cancellations within 48 hours of event start. A no show is handled the same way as a late cancelation, and the department will be charged the full reservation rental rate. Consistent no-shows and/or late cancellations may result in the suspension of reservation privileges for the facility.
If catering is booked for the event, the department reserving the Career Connections Space is responsible for contacting the Caterer directly to cancel the order.
