Work at the Career Connections Center

Standard of excellence, innovative, believes in values, inclusive, and family, are just some of the words and expressions when the Career Connections Center staff is asked to describe the team. We believe in cultivating our culture just as much as we believe in delivering our mission. From our student paraprofessional staff, volunteers to our full-time team, everyone makes an impact on how we serve the campus community and beyond.

Additional Student Opportunities for Career Readiness

The Career Connections Center offers University of Florida students with a range of experiential opportunities within every team of the department.

The Career Connections Center is a developmental work environment for students hired for internship positions. Students work on projects that enhance and provide professional skill development while allowing students to maximize their strengths, grow in challenge areas, and discover new opportunities of interest. Interns have the opportunity to develop and hone professional competencies in areas of communication, research, collaboration, sales, event planning, and assessment. Additionally, interns have access to staff members and career planning support.

Practicum and/or Volunteer

Practicums offer students a unique opportunity to gain training and hands-on experience within a particular functional area. By completing a practicum in the Career Connections Center, the student will be able to understand and perform associated functions, identify transferable skills, and articulate the impact of their experiences on their career goals. To inquire about a practicum or volunteer experience, please contact the team member of your specific area of interest.

Employer Relations Ambassadors

The Employer Relations Ambassadors (ERA) are volunteer student ambassadors who represent the Career Connections Center by promoting the center’s employer-related events and enhancing student/employer connections. This opportunity provides students real-time opportunities to develop their professional skills, interact with employers, promote career events, and serve as an ambassador for the center. Applications to become an ERA are open twice an academic year. For more information, please contact
