The FBI Jacksonville applicant team will host an information session about the FBI Honors Internship Program and provide guidance on the federal government application process. The session will include a presentation and Q&A with current FBI employees. The internship application window is Sept. 5-20.

This session is open to all UF students and alumni. The FBI accepts interns from all majors and disciplines but emphasizes accounting, law, and STEM (including astronomy, biology, chemistry, computer science, engineering, earth sciences, health sciences, information technology, mathematics, and physics). U.S. citizenship is required for FBI employment.

About the FBI Honors Internship Program:

The FBI’s Honors Internship Program is a highly competitive program that offers undergraduate, graduate, and post-doctoral students exposure to the world’s premier law enforcement and intelligence agency.  During the 10-week paid internship, which begins the first week in June, interns work side-by-side with FBI employees to assist with casework and explore a variety of careers. At the completion of the summer session, interns return to their colleges/universities; if approved to continue with the internship during the fall/spring semesters, students will work an intermittent schedule (16 hours per month) at an FBI office closest to them in order maintain their security clearance. Students can then return the FBI as a full-time, paid intern the following summer. In addition, graduating interns who seek full-time, permanent positions with the FBI may receive direct placement within 2-3 months of graduation.
