Industry Engagement Opportunities
Project Resume
Project Resume happens every fall and spring semester the week prior to Career Showcase. During this event you can have your resume reviewed by a Career Connections Center staff member or an employer.
Skills Lab
Gain hands on experience with this extremely engaging activity, Skills Lab. Employers will select a skill relevant to their industry and guide you through a variety of activities, helping you to walk away with a deeper understanding and mastery of the highlighted skill.
Information Session
Information Sessions are a strong starting point to learn about a company. Lasting an average of 30 minutes to one hour, an Information Session provides a basic overview of a company and what opportunities they have to offer.
Coffee Chat
Engage with an employer in a casual setting while enjoying some complimentary coffee. Coffee Chats are an open-ended session where you are able to come and go as your schedule allows. If large networking events are not your thing, consider attending a Coffee Chat for a more relaxed networking experience.
Office Hours
Think of employer hosted Office Hours like a professor’s office hours. This is an open block of time to come and ask questions and network with an employer. Traditionally hosted within a Nook space within the Career Connections Center.
On-Campus Interviews
On-Campus interviews bring employers directly to you to provide a convenient option to interview for their fulltime, part-time, and internship opportunities. Not all employers will utilize on-campus interview space, so make sure to verify where you interview will take place anytime you are scheduled for one.
